Hours:
9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday, and
9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
10:00 am to noon on Saturdays

The library offers books, magazines, books on tape and CD, videos, DVD movies, and computers. Materials can be checked out for 2 weeks. Copies can be made at 10 cents/page.

Newspapers available include Des Moines Register, Sioux City Journal, Wall Street Journal, Dickinson County News, and Spencer Daily Reporter.

The library has an active Foundation that takes donations and memorials to help the library provide services outside of the regular budget. This year the Foundation will be buying a large, interactive toy for the children^(1)s area and also adding to the video and the books-on-tape collections. If you are interested in contributing, you can pick up a brochure at the library.

Jim was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Theresa chose books about that conflict. One is called The Things They Carried, dealing with the mental aspect of the war. The author, Tim O^(1)Brien, is a Worthington, MN native. Wounded body, Healing Spirit is by John Senka. John was in the same division as Jim and they were in Vietnam at the same time. They were both "Mole City Survivors" and Manchus. This book shows the effects of the Vietnam War while the soldiers were there and when they returned home.

Both books have been autographed by the authors and are a wonderful addition to the library.
