    COUNCIL PRESENT: Jensen, Koppert, Christensen, Watters, Munsen. Mayor Mitchell absent.

    OTHERS PRESENT: Darryl K. Halling, Phil Petersen, Greg Drees, Anitra Wolf, Steve Anderson, Wynn Gochenour, Nick Donkersloot.

    BRIDGES BAY RESORT (Nielsen Property): Steve Anderson stated he had tried to contact Bridges Bay regarding low impact development and they had not responded to his request. Phil Petersen was also concerned about low impact development. Darryl Halling would like the City to remember the developers stated in the beginning with the County there would be no cost to taxpayers There was a lengthy discussion regarding the annexation of Bridges Bay Resort.

    RESOLUTION NO. 33-06 ACCEPTING THE PETITION FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION BY BBR, LLC AND BRIDGES BAY RESORT, LLC. Introduced by Jensen. Seconded by Christensen. The roll was called and the vote was: AYES: Jensen, Christensen, Munsen, Watters. NAYS: Koppert.

    LAKE STREET CLOSURE: Motion approving the closing of Lake Street on July 15, 2006 for the University of Okoboji Marathon. Watters/Christensen. Ayes; five. Nays; none.

    END OF FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006: RESOLUTION NO. 34-06 APPROVING THE BUDGET TRANSFERS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006 (on file in city hall). Introduced by Christensen. Seconded by Munsen. The roll was called and the vote was: AYES: Christensen, Munsen, Koppert, Watters, Jensen. NAYS: None. Motion approving the closing of the city office on June 29 and 30, 2006 for the fiscal year end. Jensen/Koppert. Ayes; five. Nays; none.

    TRANSIENT MERCHANT PERMIT: Motion approving the transient merchant permit for Kimberly's Seasonal Boutique. Koppert/Watters. Ayes; five. Nays; none.

    DAM ROAD & HELMS DRIVE UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS: ABC Services requesting time extension. It was the consensus of the Council to contact the city attorney and city engineer regarding the issue.

    Nick Donkersloot spoke to the Council regarding a pre-Sturgis rally to possibly be held in Arnolds Park August 3,4 and 5, 2006. The Council was concerned regarding the number of people that may be in attendance because the Bible Conference would be at the same time and a large concert is scheduled in the green space. Informational only, no action taken.
